2010 vw jetta wolfsburg edition reviews

The car has good acceleration and 30 mpg highway. It just feels much better made and its fun to drive in all road conditions. It feels much larer than its size. Driving is fun again. The car just feels good. The interior is well laid out and the radio has excellent sound. Our other car is a Altima 2. The 5 cylinder model compares well to the turbo-charged 4 in the Altima.

I also test drove the turbo Jetta and the TDI. Both are good engines, the diesel responded well and had much less mechanicals than any prior diesels I have driven or been a passenger. The family resemblance to Audi is quite apparent. Not the priciness of Audi, but a car in the German engineering tradition.

The engine just sounds sweet revving throuh the 6 speeds of the automatic transmission. The tipmatic is fun to use. The trunk is spacious and both rear seats fold down giving pleanty of room for hauling yard supplies or taking bikes or lawnmowers in for servicing. The trunk opens all the way up on the push button. The sunroof operates easily and the window controls operate 1 touch up or down on all windows.

The heated seats are the best in any car I have had much better than a past Audi A4, a Buick Rendezvous, or the Altima my wife drives. She likes the Jetta and wouldn't drive my former Civic. She says it's liken her old Audi A4 which she loved. Dealer service is free first 3 years 30, miles which Civic did not do.

Service from dealer has been commendably prompt and the dealership keeps in touch with email followup done well. Even the salesman keeps in touch and makes it a point to say hi and ask how they are doing. They genuinely want to please the customer. I purchased my Jetta in Nov.

It drives and handles the road so well. It's roomy, the heated seats are wonderful, and there are vents in the backseat as well. Overall it's a great car at a great price. Excellent Car! I've had the car for about 2 weeks now. So far, I do not have a single complaint. VW thinks of everything, from the bluetooth phone function, to the touch screen radio to the comfortable seats.

I have a family of 5 and we all fit in the Jetta. It is a little snug though. If you had small kids with car seats, you probly couldn't fit 3 in the back seat. Great gas mileage and is a very safe vehicle. You can't go wrong with the lease option! Just can't believe the gas mileage. Have miles on the car and have avg Lots of torque. Just an easy car to like. We get it. Ads can be annoying. But ads are also how we keep the garage doors open and the lights on here at Autoblog - and keep our stories free for you and for everyone.

Overall Rating? The time improves to 7 seconds with the 2. Finally, the Jetta TDI trim level boasts an inline 4-cylinder 2.

The TDI is tested at in 8. Reviewers find the gas-powered 2. The 2. None of this, however, is bothersome enough to outweigh its impressive mileage numbers.

Virtually all professional reviewers find the Volkswagen Jetta S and SE trims to ride effortlessly and comfortably over nearly any paved surface on their standard inch wheels.

With all trims featuring four-wheel independent suspensions, MacPherson front struts, front and rear stabilizer bars, and multi-link rear ends, it seems that wheel size is the difference-maker in the somewhat less composed ride of the SEL and Wolfsburg Edition with their standard inch tires.

The optional inch wheels available for both make for, if anything, an even rougher ride. The TDI trim is noted, as well, to show a smidgen more vibration on uneven roads, as well as making more of a racket at highway speeds.

Its huge torque capabilities, however, make the TDI a formidable presence on downtown streets. Generally, professional reviewers find the Jetta to offer a placid and comfortable, if far from sporty, ride, certainly better than expected for its price level. Many professional reviewers note, as well, that the passenger space in the compact Jetta rivals that of many far larger vehicles. The SE throws in a standard power-operated sunroof, leatherette upholstery, fold-flat front passenger seat, front and rear floor mats, a 6-CD changer with 10 speakers, and satellite radio, as well as Bluetooth wireless communications technology.

The Jetta TDI, as well as the SEL and Wolfsburg Edition sedans, meanwhile, offer such additional standard features as multi-level front-seat heating, steering-wheel-mounted audio controls, remote power windows, leather-wrapped steering wheel and shift knob, and a USB connection. Options for the Jetta progress from the power sunroof, Jetta Motor Sport Kit with various appearance upgrades, inch or inch alloy wheels and floor mats with both versions of the S trim to touch-screen DVD navigation for the SE trim levels.

Standard safety equipment across the Jetta lineup includes four-wheel ABS with emergency braking assist and electronic brakeforce distribution, traction and stability control, dual front side-mounted airbags, front and rear head airbags, remote anti-theft alarm, daytime running lights, turn-signal-integrated side mirrors, and a post-collision safety system. Additionally, rear side-mounted airbags are optional on all trims. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration NHTSA also rates the Jetta highly, with four stars in front impact testing, five stars for side-impact testing and four stars for rollover protection.

Owners of the Volkswagen Jetta, though overwhelmingly satisfied with this compact, do have a few complaints. One of the biggest concerns is poor rearward visibility due to extra-wide roof pillars and intrusive rear headrests. Virtually all owners also praise the value they receive from the Jetta.

Have Laptop. Will Travel. I'm retired and travelling the country in a 34' motor home. I'm really digging meeting people. The plan is to visit all the national parks in the continental US, then cruise to Alaska to visit Denali, and to Hawaii to check out Haleakala and the Hawaii Volcano's national parks.

Anyhow, when I'm not horsing the motor home around the roadways, I'm tooting around in the Ford Focus that we tow behind, or making runs to Home Depot and various malls with the F that just won't die. This car has one problem after another. Transmission problems, Power Steering problems, electrical problems, fuel economy problems, ignition key problems, etc I can go on and on for hours complaining about this car.

Each ranking was based on 9 categories. Here is the summary of top rankings. Their sizes and shapes are pretty same, but Im interested if light connector and fixation parts would fit. I just had the entire ignition switch replaced on my jetta because the prior switch jammed with the key stuck in it. I've had my car into the dealership and they say the battery and alternator are fine. They also said the parasitic draw test showed nothing. I'm suspicious of the radio.

It died about 10 weeks ag Here's what happened. I had to someplace.
