Type "CT0" to tare the load cell. This will zero the load all further readings will subtract the load sensed at this point. Type "O0W0" to output the load continuously. Hitting at any time will stop outputting the readings. To set up Hyperterminal or other terminal emulation program to communicate with the load cell, select the appropriate COM port in the program and connect. Once connected, a few simple commands are all that are needed to operate the load cell:.
This just pings the port and the load cell responds with "A" to indicate that it is set up and ready. This sets the tare or zero for the load cell. If you plan to zero out a preload, please use this command. Outputs the temperature within the load cell in deg.
Note that this is the temperature within the load cell and is usually a few degrees higher than ambient. This command outputs a floating point number that indicates the load capacity of the load cell in lb. Then read the returned string back in millipounds. We recommend the following steps:. If callbacks or events are available, it is preferable to use them instead of polling the load cells in step 7 above.

Thread starter hameeds01 Start date Jan 27, Status Not open for further replies. Hyper Terminal is only for serial ports, you cant use that for usb.
There are some softwares that sniffes the usb port, use one of them Nandhu. Click to expand Allows porting of legacy code that used RS comms". Do u have an tutorials?? Are you trying to config routers on something real small that does have many extra ports?? Well, I know you can connect hyperterminal up to a USB modem. Someone at my old job bought one of those tiny-notebook PCs, i think some vaio. It lacked a serial port, which he needed to reprogram radio switches.
No amount of tinkering would get hyperterminal to recognize the usb serial port as a real serial port. Since it couldnt see a serial port on different settings, i dont see how it could see a USB connection which has nothing in common with a serial connection. At least USB Modems will have Window's modem driver to connect through, it doesnt open the port directly.
